There is locales folder in the game directory.Will other languages be supported in the future? Like Japanese or Chinese.

No, we don't intend to make official translations of the game. There may be some mods available in the future that translate the game, though, but those would be fan translations

Add jail in Didnapper 2 as in Didnapper 1 ... It will give timepass after all levels completed. You can use the jail in city where seles was once kept. After having fight we can keep them in cell bondage.

Serously, private cell (and its costumes) was one of the most enjoyable things in the first game. I felt a bit disappointed when I didn't see it on second game :(

2 is still a very nice game anyways

How to replay the side quest ?

That is a feature we will be adding in a future update :)

Coming to the later version onwards I really want the game to change a bit more. such as more escape stages, more binding styles and more challenge modes. more endgame images instead of just the default 27 images. I wish the game was better and more engaging. Thank you! :)

I have customized my keybindings so that I am able to move around with W/A/S/D instead of the arrow keys, but then there's a very annoying bug when I navigate any menu (the save files menu, the keybindings one, etc.). Every now and then, when I click W (up) or S (down) to go to the next menu item, it instead does some absurd jump (for example, I am at File 8, i click the W key and it gets me to File 23). This never happens when i use the arrow keys though.

Similarly, I have remapped the enter key to Q and it sometimes behaves in an unexpected way. For example when I'm looking at the enemy gallery and I click on Q, it would sometimes show a different character than the one I had selected.

It would be great if the devs could look into it!

Have you made sure to remove the old function of Q and W as well? By default they do the same as PageUp and PageDown (or L1 and R1 on a controller). You can find them under the functions "Previous Page" and "Next Page" in the keybinding menu. If you did not change them, then the weird behavior is because your Q and W now have two functions at the same time.

Yes, I made sure to clean everything up. I have W/A/S/D exclusively associated with the move commands (they are not associated with anything else, and also the move commands have no other association).

Then yes, that sounds like a bug. We'll make sure to look into it for the next update. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Are you planning to add private cell time like in the first game where you get to mess with your friends like different poses, change clothes and so on after beating them in combat? and are you going to add new outfits?

To sum up the challenges are too easy. I didn't have any problems. Can you make it more difficult? For professional players it's too easy! That's just with me! :)

Mac version is broken. The game loads to a black screen whether it's a clean install new game or if I import saves. I have another Windows computer, but this is still a problem. I only wish you could do a Mac ARM version, but I doubt RPGMaker suppports that lol.

Hi! Is there an error message that goes with the black screen? If so, it might be a permission issue caused by security measures in your Mac. In that case, just moving the Game.app file to a different location on your machine after extracting it from the .zip file should fix the issue. Alternatively installing the game through the Itch app instead of downloading it manually should also solve it.
Please let us know if this was helpful at all in case others encounter the same issue, and apologies for the inconvenience!

No error messages. Hitting "new game" or "load game" just fills the game window with black and no sound. Have to force quit the application. I moved it from downloads to desktop and same problem. It also locks up if I try to change any settings in the menu.

That is indeed strange. But try installing the game through the Itch app. If it's a permission-related error, then installing the game that way should fix it.

No longer an issue since I just got my first new Mac in eight years. M1 Max chip, and somehow it actually runs this game smoothly. A bit crashy, but it loads. Is this version of RPGMaker 64bit? It has to be for this to be running even under Rosetta2 emulation.

That depends on what you want :P 
If you just want to see the new things mentioned in the list of changes for the update, you can use the story crystal to jump directly to those parts of the game without restarting from scratch.

I'm thinking i wanted to replay the game from scratch but was waiting for an update to the game to make it more fresh of an playthrough. Thanks for the tip ! 😊

I just finished the game. It was a wonderful game. Thanks for all the developers. Just wanna give a few personal gaming improve adives.
I wish the dev's can read this.


1.  By any chance, could we have an AC binldfold? Just as the AC gag, it's one kind of  blindfold with a strap on it. So It can't not be removed by player herself.

2.I wish we could have more Tie Upgrade play . Tie Upgrade is a wonderful idea. Somehow in current version, only the basic tie could be upgraded into Hottie and then further upgraded to Suspension.  I wish we could have others same play. For example, we can upgrade Frogtie into Frogtie with pilliory.  This will make the escape more real. It will make you think twice before you wanna assualt a guard. If I am a guard, of course I will uprage someone's tie, make her more painful if she try to assualt me.

3. Can we have a option to choose which kinds of level or ratio or tendency in real escape game (same as the one in camp).  I mean in late chapter such chapter 15 or a clear game.  The foes are supposed to use more AC bindind and some high level restrain to tie player. But the truth is, they are using basic tie, normal rope and bind my wrist with level 1 diffcult, fighting against my 60 level escape skill, seriously?!

May be something like bondage maid adventure can be fun!

How long until the next update? I'm really looking forward to the next version of the game. i wish some maps were more expanded, more pitfalls and increased difficulty. I really want the game to be perfect. thank you!

I recommend joining the Discord server if you want to monitor progress of game more and interact with the dev's. A link to it can be found on Steam page or DeviantArt group. My guess for 1.0.4 would be sometime in next few weeks.

Does anyone know where the save folder is ? I need it to update the game and not lose everything. I've heard it's in the patch notes but I don't know where exactly.

It's still a very good game with tons of bondage content and well worth playing – if you take it for what it is. Just don't expect it to be a direct sequel or the exact same thing Didnapper 1 was. 

The heroes in this story do NOT abduct people, they only do it once (the priestess) and even that felt out-of-character for me and more like paying homage to the first game. A private prison wouldn't fit into the story concept at all. Only thing in this direction they could add would be to be able to do interrogation training with party members when camping but even that would feel like pure fanservice here (although I would welcome it non the less),

Can anyone help me with the Cardinal battle? I need to level up to fight him but if I leave the church to go find places to level up, I can't  get back in the secret room of the church.

If there is a story crystal crystal available you can use that to go back to older areas. A lot of the time you dont need to grind exp but SP so your characters can learn better skills.

Can you tell me where to get started on learning to grind for SP?

You'll notice your EXP gains scales down the longer you fight enemies at the same level, but SP doesn't. You dont gain any SP from sneak ambushes but only from winning battles.

Just finished the game, loved it and looking forward for future content!

Wanted to report some bugs I found:

- some typos in the Guide menu, specifically in the "tied" and "allied" description

- the Gallery commands are not working for me and pic 7 seems badly framed cutting poor Aden's face out

- using Inspect on the moth enemy in Todlaad shows a non round figure for the fire resistance (that's a lot of zeros!) causing the game to lag

- this is more a suggestion, but I'd consider adding gag talks sounds to the trader guild scene, just to make the choice of the girl a little more relevant ;)

I just found a little bug:
In Malutina - East Cliffs, there is a bench. on the cliffs. You can sit on the bench, but if you stand up, you are stuck in the fence before it. I think, simply removing the fence or making the bench unusable would help.

Ah, finally, we can get Seles into something truly inescapable (you can only stand up and sit down again). Must be a bench Hephaistos made for Hera, much more effective than any AC-rope could ever be ;-)

Just don't press quicksave when you try out this bench …

This is issue #46 in the Github link, and is said to be fixed for next patch.

Does anyone know where can i find Zhara after i finish the story?

I don't understand what you mean. She's in your party (joins automatically).  In camp mode she sits SE of the fire. So when and where do you want to look for her?

Can you unlock interagation mode on the demo? And if not could you provide a way to do so pls?

There is no interrogation mode in this game. You can interrogate others 3 or 4 times in the story (later chapters), it's rather short until they talk and that's it, no toying around with them for fun. So nothing to compare with private cell in D1.

Bug report: While playing chapter 14 Seles´s belts and Aiden´s pigtails disappeared permanantly in every graphic.

Did you equip casual clothes or maid outfits? With these on, the characters look like you described. Equip normal clothes and they should look like before.

Yes i equiped the casual clothes. But when i unequip the casual clothes and equip it again, the bug is gone.

Thanks for the 1.0.3. update. Nice bad ending for losing the final boss fight.

Bug remaining: when you win a battle with a tied up character and she levels up, you get a level up picture in which she is also tied, However, that does not work in all locations. Annoying, as I made it kind of a ritual while playing to try to always level up in tied-up state (using surrender at the end of the battle).

another thing: going back to chapter 1 fighting Zhara, making subdue unavailable feels like a cheap solution for the battle being unwinable. Even if she only does 1 hp damage all you can do is surrender. Why not give her a sleep or stun skill or make the battle winable but she pulls out some dirty trick afterwards to turn the tables on you?

Any chance the OST will be available outside of game? I love "Survival" when it played in game, and "Oversaturated" is a beast of a tune.

I saved one at version 1.0.2. so do i need to start over or just copy from the old save to continue playing? I have now leveled the main character to level 60.

just copy the old version's save file and it'll automatically patch the save version.

Could the graphics(normal and subdued) in the dialogue/battle battle part and credit roll be added into gallery mode?

The cut-scene face-sets aren't viewable anywhere else, but the battle art are viewable from the "Enemy" menu. Can also blow up the enemy art in there by clicking on them. Sharpffffff's art from credits and this may or may not be released later outside of game.

Is there any chance to open the workshop on steam? That would be much simpler to make Chinese version or adding other mods by other players. Otherwise it might be a little bit difficult...

It's an rpg maker game so you can't exactly mod it like you would for say Xcom or skyrim, you have make a new version of the game to add the functionality that you want. Unless you want to keep backups of the base game files and replace the necessary files with the ones that were modified.

If you read the roadmap, mod support will come to the game in the near future, alongside a mod loader that will simplify things

Where did you find the roadmap you are referring to? All I found for mod support was one line saying they were coming out with a mod manager in the faq section on discord.

I had the same problem, also with Mint. The "Game" (desktop) file does not work so you tried to run "Game" (the binary file) instead? Wrong (I made the same mistake first because it seems obvious). But if you take a look into the "Game" desktop file, it does NOT link to "Game" (binary) but to a binary called "nw" instead. (No idea why they did this, it seems confusing on purpose). So to run the game make "nw" executeable, open a terminal and run "./nw". Now it works.

In fact, I'm replaying it right now. It's also great and I cannot say which one I like better. They are different. D2 has by far the better escape and combat system, D1 has by far more details, feels more fleshed out, missions can be approached in different ways and things play out differently (while D2 feels completely straight forward (think of the "not-Romeo and Juliet"-sidequest in D2 and multiply by 50 to get the idea how D1 feels)). D1 also has the great private cell interrogation system where you can toy around with defeated bosses and even your team members to make them learn passive skills like Greater Masochism. It even has seasonal easter eggs like April Fool Events and a Christmas Tree in your base and a much greater love for small details than D2 which sometimes feels a little plain in comparison. Also well worth playing. But you need a VM with a minimal windows install if you want to play on Linux.

I don't know if that's possible because unlike Didnapper2 it's not a stand-alone-game. You'll also have to install 3rd party software to play it (some kind of rpg-maker libraries pack).

That's not a huge deal for many people.

Right now it's a bit of a problem (limited storage), but it won't always be.

@DIDGames, could you upload DIDnapper here? If that's not an option, at least include the link @frisil provided (or an(y) legit\official download link(s)) in DIDnapper 2's page — with the information it's the first DIDnapper and any info on additional software\files that may be needed… As it's very likely this comment thread will get buried sooner or later.

One more thing: D1 is the true DIDnapper game. D2 is more about a classic hero voyage and borrows gameplay mechanics from D1 but there is no real reason why it's called DIDnapper. In D1 you work for a kidnapper guild and go on missions for them to abduct people. You can also go hunting on your own, abduct random girls in forests and earn money by collecting ransom. You have a guild hideout that feels like a homebase. It also has a hero story (main character is a princess who was betrayed and abducted on her way to her coronation but joined the guild of her captors to use their resources to get her throne back instead of being locked away forever) but basically you are part of one these bandit gangs you fight in D2.

Not quite correct. You are part of this bandit gang, you met, aber don't fight again ;)

But Neverheless, I miss these private cells. I dont't want just capture the enemies, I want to toy around with them too!

Okay, I wasn't precise, what I meant was: You are part of a bandit gang LIKE those you fight in D2, not specifically one of them.

BTW, are you on a German writer's forum? I think I saw the same user name there and writing "aber" (indicating you could be German) made me wonder.

I've thought about that too before (not a dev, so everything that follows is speculation). While I'd love that, I think it'll only happen if someone from the fanbase mods it, not in an official update. Would be a HUGE amount of time spent on mere cosmetics.

Will someone do it with mods? Quite possibly; there's been an (unreleased) maid outfit escape mod floating around for a while that looks really good. But it'll take a long time even if someone does do it.

I'd love to see it, obviously. But I don't think it's realistic, especially not in the near future. It was already a ton of work to do the one pose for four MCs in D1, this time there's six MCs and like four different poses, which on top of that are more fluid than the one in D1.

I completely agree. D1 had just one basic tie, D2 has chair, hogtie, frogtie, suspensions, poles, etc. Also, D1 only had legs, arms and gags to struggle with, so much more animation to do for D2.

The time would be better spent to make a meaningful interrogation system like private cell. For that it would be mostly dialogue to be written which is way less effort than drawing all these animations.
