We are going to look into having that option, although given the fact that D2 is planned to have more quests/events like that, we'd probably have to do it differently.
So far we're only planning on having Seles be the one you can escape as, mostly due to the increased number of ties, restraints and animation frames already makes it a huge task just to add everything we want for Seles. Not to mention you have more party members in Didnapper 2 than you did in the first game ^^;
i played this on the 1st demo i think and got the "unknown error." With the new version I decided to look further into it and I'm not entirely sure what I did but here what i did, looked into the "show package contents", i opened "Contents-Resources-app.nw-save" and i think by doing this it made the game saveable, **I think** i don't know, mostly wanted to share how i fixed the problem
Well, that error occurs if the game tries to save while it's placed in a folder with certain restrictions, in which case moving it to a folder with less restrictions usually fixes the problem. I suppose there is a chance that looking into the folder in question may have removed the read-only restriction, idk
Yes, we are planning to hire voice actors to do properly fitting gag noises closer to the end of the development, similar to how we custom gag noises recorded for Bonds :)
Yes, the current exp system gives your party members exp depending on the difference in level between the character and the enemy. If the enemy is a higher level than you, it gives you more exp than if it is lower level than you. This is not yet reflected on the battle result screen, but we intend for it to be displayed in the future :)
I feel that escaping in the prison is much harder than in the bandit camp because in the camp you can focus on the gag, and then let your ally do the work. Maybe try to make the options for escape more balanced.
It was replaced by the player being able to be repeatedly captured and put in randomized escape situations by bandits and Cantamille guards. Later in the game you will be able to do escape training like in Didnapper 1, but a bit more customizable.
How about this? Currently, blindfolds only limit restraint levels and surroundings. This does not have any significant effect on releasing restraints. So my suggestion is to cover the restraining gauge when the blindfold is filled. This will cause the player to lose track of the escape velocity and impose some force on removing the blindfold.
Please excuse me for what might be strange words because I wrote it using a translator.
are you planing to make this game longer then fist one and will privet cell be in it and more things to do in it? i relly loved story on first one and i really wished it was longer and more things to do but its you choice if you want to make it loner or other stuff.
This game will be longer than the first game, yes. We don't intend to have the same private cell feature, but we do intend to have something a bit similar.
Thank you for an exciting game! Improvements in game mechanics from the first game (namely escape & ambush systems) are great, and storyline & characters are very promising despite it being an early chapters demo. Also it was very nice to see a familiar NPC - somehow it gives a nostalgic feeling, pointing out that both games are actually taking place in the same world. Also I have encountered several bugs and game design issues. I'd gladly make a detailed review if needed. Also I'm not sure you're interested, given that you have a team and backer that probably give a lot of feedback anyway, and that this is just an early demo.
I found the demo fun, but the only problem is that the game seemed to get easier as it continued. I easily got the most game overs on the first area with the vines, and the got a lot less game overs throughout the rest of the demo.
It was replaced by the player being able to be repeatedly captured and put in randomized escape situations by bandits and Cantamille guards. Later in the game you will be able to do escape training like in Didnapper 1, but a bit more customizable.
If you send the save file in question to didgamesproductions@gmail.com we can try to fix the save, and also find out how it happened, so it doesn't happen again
After looking into it further, it may have happened because you used a save file from the previous demo (Demo 2 or Demo 2.1). If so, then starting a new game instead should solve the issue for you.
If you really don't want to start a new game however, you can try downloading the game again and load the save file in it, then immediately save. That should also fix the crash, although I can't guarantee there won't be other issues with the save file.
I'm loving this game so far. Hope to see it when it fully realeses.
Just a quick note: I noticed that you can purchase skills for any of your party members. I love this mechanic, but I didn't know about it until I finished the demo.
Is there a tutorial about it that I skipped, or is just something the player has to find by its own merits? I wish it was the former, so newer players could experience this mechanic.
Glad you like it :) It will be mentioned in the game in a tutorial/informative message, but we didn't make that yet for the demo, in part because it was only very recently an enabled feature, and so we didn't get to test it properly in advance, and in part because it is likely that some parts of it might change a lot and/or be expanded by the time of the full release.
I've just started playing the new demo and I've noticed something a bit off: the xp doesn't properly track. I check Seles' status and it says I need 15 xp till level up. I fight two vine monsters( worth 20 xp) and after the fight I still need 5 xp... Is this intentional? Or is this a bug?
It is intentional that the exp varies, but the battle result screen is a bit misleading. The result screen currently shows the base exp that the enemy has to give, but the characters get more if they are a lower level than the enemy, and more if they are a higher level than the enemy. The greater the difference in level, the greater the difference in exp gained. We will update the result screen later to display this more accurately.
Here I leave the translation to Spanish, for those who do not know English can enjoy it and so the developers look at the importance of translating the game. (Thank you very much for developing these games I love them. Please do not delete the comment, I am only trying to help those who do not know English :D)
Sorry to be a bother, but as far as I see you’re unable to get out of the escape test when you get in it. It’s not a problem to relaunch the game and all but still, also a bug I encountered was that when andes was tied up (I believe that was her name) and the fight ended, the game screen just went black and never turned on; please fix that. But I am really happy that this game is going along so far! I hope it comes out soon and that you all will make a didnapper 3, thank you creators ^-^
This is still a beta, for sure this has already been adjusted, the closed beta is in version 23 already with many new features, I hope to help with translations, if the game can have multilingual
I really hope this gets an update or something. I'm in love with this game! The first one was great, but I love how improved the escape elements are in this new one. And the art reminds me a lot of the Tales of series!
Hello. I am trying to run the game on macbook, but I can't find a folder that lets me save the game. Keep getting this error. I have tried manually changing the permissions on every folder that I have placed the game app but that hasn't worked. I have tried changing the permissions on the path that it gives in the error and that hasn't worked either. Not sure what to do.
Hello - when I try to run the 2.1 demo .exe I get the following error message:
Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
Any ideas on what the issue might be? Thanks in advance.
Also Didnapper 1 worked fine. Many thanks for the time and effort you guys put into the first game. Its an amazing experience, great story and very enjoyable - nothing else like it! Can't wait for the next one.

Will we be able to reset quests or events like the first game?
Edit : And will we be able to escape as other members or is Seles the only character that will be playable in escape situations?
We are going to look into having that option, although given the fact that D2 is planned to have more quests/events like that, we'd probably have to do it differently.

Keep up the good work!

Thus far the game is great! Quick question though, is it going to have voice acting for the gag talking like the first?
Yes, we are planning to hire voice actors to do properly fitting gag noises closer to the end of the development, similar to how we custom gag noises recorded for Bonds :)
That's great! I loved both the first didnapper and Bonds, keep up the great work
When are you planning on dropping a new demo or finishing the Didnapper 2?
The experience gained is compromised by a large now! I can only gain less than 10 exp even if it appears to give 100 exp
Yes, the current exp system gives your party members exp depending on the difference in level between the character and the enemy. If the enemy is a higher level than you, it gives you more exp than if it is lower level than you. This is not yet reflected on the battle result screen, but we intend for it to be displayed in the future :)
Ok no problem. Thanks and best wishes!

Yes, we intend to make some changes to how interactions with allies during escape works in the future :)
added the escape training back? ;-;

did you make this game by RPG maker? version number is what?
We're making it using RPG Maker MV :)
Thanks for answer my question.
and one more, are you planning sell this game on steam?
Yes, we hope to sell the game both on Steam and here on Itch
how do i get invitation to enter the montague manor ?
find other entrance.
Aden的经验值变成了null在离开Casca's room并且与士兵战斗之后,之后如果去旅馆休息Aden等级就变成了1
The Aden experience has become null after you leave Casca's room and fight a soldier, the Aden level has become 1 if you go to a hotel to rest
This has just now been fixed in the latest 3.1 update. Thanks for letting us know :)
the game is great so far but every time Seles goes past level 9 it resets her back to level 1. This only happens on Seles it hasn't happpened to Aden.
This has just now been fixed in the latest 3.1 update. Thanks for letting us know :)

can it be played on Android
Possibly with an emulator, but it is not designed to be played on Android as of now
Aden's experience is NaN after leaving Casca's room

If you use the mouse the aoutomatic pathfinding will avoid all
What happened to the "Escape Test" feature from the previous version?
It was replaced by the player being able to be repeatedly captured and put in randomized escape situations by bandits and Cantamille guards. Later in the game you will be able to do escape training like in Didnapper 1, but a bit more customizable.

Waiting for full game release. Thanks for demo 3. Will sure to purchase when full game is released!
Demo3 is quite amazing! And I'm glad to see Nataleigh again.
Glad you like it! :D

Do you know how much longer it will take to finish didnapper 2? Not rushing you! Just wondering.
Will it ever be a feature to choose how you tie the enemy up? I’m just a bit intrigued.
