It seems most bugs are fixed in 1.2.1, but I noticed some when playing 1.2.1.

  • In Act 4 (aka Chapter 19), having No Talking (Part 2) active causes confusion as Bad News plays during the cutscene, and Carol and Evelyn will appear in the cells when Seles and Kaie fight the Researcher. I think this is due to both the main quest and side quest taking place in the CRC. A workaround/prevention is to not accept the sidequest before boarding The Bound Maiden and wait until the part of the story is cleared or use the Story Crystal to go back to an earlier part and finish No Talking (Part 2) before you board The Bound Maiden (since you can't return back to Iidra or the CRC once you arrive in in the Katoshi Isles/Shiode until you go through the Chroma Spring).
  • You can use Nope (Chelsea) and Channeling (Kaie) as well as their upgraded skills from the menu. It seems the "Battle only" occasion wasn't set for these skills.
  • In Mirio south of the Collector's house, it's possible to stand on top of the roof.
  • Not a bug per se but one of the Ancient Fabrics can't be obtained after progression because the location it's in (Lanylisse) can't be visited unless the Story Crystal is used, or you beat Act 6.
  • (Possibly a bug from 1.2 which may have been fixed 1.2.1) It's possible to have a duplicate of Liliana's default outfit.

Thank you for the great update! Both new story and rebalancing are fantastic.
A few possible bugs I encountered:
1. Sometimes game can freeze during Save menu. I encountered it only before Colette interrogation, not sure how to replicate.
2. At some point during Pendragon Chelsea got stuck with "essential party member" status (bell icon in the party menu that forces the player to include that character in the active party). I can't find a way to remove it, right now only workaround I found is removing Chelsea mid-combat through swapping.
3. Outfits during side quests tend to be mismatched. For example, in the drinking in Pendragon quest the companion never equips the quest outfits, despite everyone acting like she does
4. Paige second quest (lead chasing) is available to start again, even when it's already in progress or already finished. Basically Paige is stuck with "new quest" flag whenever she doesn't have another dialogue ready

Hi! I'm glad you've enjoyed the update :)
Apart from the first, all the other issues should be fixed in the bugfix update we just released today (v1.2.1). We are also working on another small update to include a couple of sidequests and outfits we didn't get the time to finish for this update, but which should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Despite my complaints about the difficultly really liked the story and sidequests. Glad to be able to do stuff with Zhara as she came in late in the base game. One thing tho what is the point of choosing to drink or not drink at that one side quest?

The drink is one of multiple factors that determine how Garth sees Chelsea near the end of the quest, and so can play into how the quest ends. I won't go into further details than that :P

Finished playing and the plots in those new chapters did a good job surprising me, they really did. It's amazing how creative the devs are.

Also partially solved the question of why those "ancient" stuff in game looks totally modern.

Please share us new info on didnapper 2 or other projects (if you guys are already working on it) when available. Can't wait to see what's next.

What is up with the difficulty? I have set the game to story/easy and 2nd chroma spring enemy spams a party oneshoting ability every turn? When every single one of my party members is tied up or lost over thousand health what is even expected I do? And when she isn't killing your whole party in one turn multiple times Byron and her are spamming AOE attacks (which prevents you from bring any party members but tank)  and debuffing your entire party because god forbit if you have a moment to attack between chugging ultra potions  and heals your attacks actually hit. Oh yeah and they can attack multiple times in a row so have fun.

Skills that can blind or confuse enemies would be very helpful. (e.g. Kaie's dark skill, Eileen's gale and water skill, Aden using smokebomb).

If you really had a hard time dealing with enemies, press tab and next page (aka pageup) to activate cheat menu.

Thanks will try the cheats. I did use the confuse and blind skills but they either didn't work or did work but didn't matter. Literally just tried it, her attacks still hit even when blind.

I feel like I'm having the same trouble with the third Chroma Spring. I've got it set to the easiest mode possible but it still feels like she's taking multiple turns before I get a chance to react, and all her attacks wipe most of my health. I've got no idea what I'm supposed to do here at all. I'll get it, but I feel like the difficulty is absolutely insane

Lol, posted this and almost immediately beat the boss on my next attempt. The trick is to focus on healing above everything else. You need Eileen throwing out healing magic every turn and at least one other character as a designated potion thrower

I tried the healing thing but it didn't work as she would one shot Eileen and tie her same turn. I think this game expects you to be a certain level but if you haven't been fighting much enemies you can go in hideously underleveled. Also the bosses attacks are random so she can spam oneshotting attacks one attempt then never use it on another.

Oh yeah, I was horribly underleveled for this fight. Plus, I never noticed until afterwards but I had a ton of agility boosting cards I hadn't used yet and would've helped me address the number of turns she was getting before I could react. I did get lucky on this run and was able to just about keep Seres up while Eileen and the other party members were struggling free. Took me a long, tense time, but I did manage to just barely beat her. Other than the occasional beef gate of a boss (to be fair, this has been the only one so far) I've been really enjoying the expansion. Amazing that we got so much new content for free!

I have to agree with the difficulty. The Chroma Spring bosses are a massive difficulty spike compared to bosses before them. I had issues with the 2nd and 3rd bosses especially since I didn't think to use Aden's Root Crystal which has a skill that heals the party and raises attack. What doesn't help is their ATB tends to fill fast which can make untying a pain since they will likely use Subdue the moment you Struggle/Rescue since they're still Weakened unless if Seles uses Familiar Restraints with 100 Escape Level or Chelsea uses Nuh Uh (which she doesn't get to learn until Level 70) to cancel Subdue attempts. Oh, and the bosses can also inflict Stunned/Asleep (i.e., the first one has Chromatune).

The third boss also makes it worse as the player can't leave the Katoshi Isles/Shiode due to the locations on the map being disabled so if you don't have enough items and/or done sidequests like the Casino Night or Dancing Mad, the fight could be impossible without using a Story Crystal.

I believe if players mostly relied on Eileen and hadn't figured out they could also use Aden's Mud Spray (Root Crystal obtained from Casino Night) and Liliana's Rationing, they could have a hard time. It can also help that Liliana's Rationing and the Teatime from Seles' and Aden's Maid outfits are Special and are unaffected by Silence which would help with the 3rd boss as she has a powerful attack that can inflict Silence, blocking off Soothing Mist and Mud Spray. Liliana's Dancer Garb can also help especially with Speardance since each strike heals the party but getting a strike in can be annoying since the bosses tend to inflict Blind.

This is fantastic! Will it be added on the steam version as well?
